Fall Protection: Fundamentals for Construction-Virtual

Whenever any worker in Construction is exposed to fall-hazards of at least six-feet, OSHA requires that employers ensure workers are protected by conventional fall protection. Although a variety of fall protection systems are available, each situation is unique, and the systems available and permitted may be limited. More importantly, employers must ensure that employees are protected by properly selecting, designing and implementing a proper fall-protection system. This course is intended for competent persons, as well as superintendents, supervisors, foremen, and safety personnel, to understand the various fall protection systems, OSHA’s requirements under 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M, and the responsibilities of qualified persons and designated competent person(s).
