Did you know that Minnesota has several state-specific occupational
safety and health standards above and beyond what is required by Federal
OSHA? Federal OSHA permits states, when approved, to administer their
own programs for the regulation of occupational health and safety
provided they are “at least as effective” as Federal OSHA. Currently,
Minnesota is one of 22 “state-plan” programs, and has adopted over 75
additional requirements that are more stringent than what is required by
Federal OSHA. In addition to AWAIR and Right-to-Know, this session will
help familiarize participants with many other requirements, including
those involving recordkeeping, machinery and equipment, overhead hoists,
gas-fired equipment, ergonomics, carbon monoxide, emergency equipment,
and personal protective equipment. This course addresses BOTH General
Industry and Construction requirements, and is intended for directors,
managers, supervisors, superintendents, foremen/leads, safety personnel,
human resources, consultants, compliance professionals and trainers.
NOTE: This course does include the most recent July 1, 2025 Legislative changes.
