This course is intended for any persons who have safety and health responsibilities within their organization, including superintendents, project managers, supervisors, foremen, leads, and safety committee members. The course is designed to provide a broader understanding of various safety and health hazards that may be encountered throughout construction, including an emphasis on safety’s “Fatal Four” (i.e. falls, electrocution, struck-by and caught-between) and health’s “Focus Four” (i.e. heat, noise, respirable, and ergonomics). This course helps to strengthen abilities to recognize and evaluate hazards, identify proper protective measures, and understand the various programs and training. Upon course completion, students will be issued a “30-hour Card” in Construction from the OSHA Training Institute.
NOTE: Students who are interested in serving as “Authorized Trainers” to conduct OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour classes must complete the OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 courses.
Minnesota Safety Council classes are held to OSHA standards,
including the number of contact hours required per training. Late
arrivals, early departures, or no-shows for any of the course sessions
will result in being dropped from the course without any fee refunds.
