ASC Series- Safety Inspections

As part of the National Safety Council’s Advanced Safety Certificate series, Safety Inspections is a one-day course, which will provide an overview of the safety and health inspection process, and then examine specific techniques to improve the process. Focus of this training is on finding facts, not faults, and how to use safety inspections to positively reinforce safe practices and behaviors. Discussions, demonstrations and exercises teach participants what to inspect, how often to inspect, and who should be involved. Participants will also learn how to develop and use checklists in continuous and formal safety inspections. In this course, participants will learn:

              The purpose and benefits of safety inspections

              How to plan and conduct an effective safety inspection

              How to use checklists to save time and improve inspection quality

              How to communicate results

              How to develop recommendations and follow-up on implementation

              How to set realistic goals and hold employees accountable for effective results
